Food Production on Public Land – BBQ FUNDRAISER

Byron Shire Council’s Food Production on Public Land project is having a launch on Saturday 4th April. Planting fruit trees and food plants around the council chambers. This event is an opportunity to raise funds for the MCG, especially the compost toilets.

MCG vollies will prepare a locavore burger (with mostly local ingredients), organic kangaroo and chicken sausages tea, coffee, chai and cakes, iced lemon myrtle and honey drink, from 9am to 3pm.

Volunteers required to prepare burgers and lemon drink on Friday 3^rd April, 11am at Jeannette’s. All members to bring a cake or biscuits, (either deliver to Jeannette’s or bring on Saturday). Volunteers to work 2 to 3 hour shifts – at least 12- 15 people required on Saturday – the more the merrier…

Shifts – 9 -11 11-1 1-3 Jeannette will contact members regarding assistance on the day. – especially Blokes.
